So, it's been a while, a long while, since I've posted anything, so I thought I would go ahead and share some recent work. I've been doing almost all of my shooting with my Hasselblad 500c/m. In the past I've only shot black and white, but I am now experimenting with different color films to find the one that suits my style. The B&W's were all shot with Ilford Delta 400 and all of the color images here were shot with Portra 400nc, and I've been very pleased with the Portra results so far. The image with the silhouetted skateboarder was shot in color, but I'm not sure if I like it in color of B&W better, so I'll show both of them. I have a mountain of film from my recent trip to Alaska to develop still and I will post those when I get around to developing them.

  1. Hey Nick, glad to see you have a blog. I'm always interested to see what other photography students from AIS are doing outside of class. I wish we had a photo club that focused more on photographic storytelling rather than technical wizardry - maybe we should start one? I wish I had time to do a school newspaper (AIS needs one). Anyway, hope you keep posting. Some of these shots are pretty good. #4 is a favorite for its humor and composition. I'm sure Raymond loved it if you showed it to the class. It poses that "question" he's always talking about. Keep it up, man. See you at school.
